Just in time for summer, Ventura Harbor Village has recently announced the line-up for the 2023 Summer Outdoor Movie Nights, taking place on the last Saturday of each month: June 24, July 29, and August 26 at sunset on the Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn. This exciting community event invites residents and visitors alike to gather under the starry skies and enjoy a fantastic lineup of films against the picturesque backdrop at sunset at Ventura Harbor. Parking and admission to the movie nights are complimentary.
Summer Outdoor Movie Nights features:
June 24: JAWS – Experience the suspense and chills of this popular 1975 Steven Spielberg’s iconic thriller, known as one of the first “creature features” based around a fictional town of Amity Island encounters and terror of a great white shark. (Adult recommended film/ Contains graphic scenes)
July 29: Goonies – Embark on an exciting adventure with a group of young friends who follow a treasure map in underground sea caves for coveted lost treasure to save their neighborhood from demolition in this beloved 1980s adventure-comedy. (Family-friendly adventure film)
August 26: Moana – Join Moana, the courageous Polynesian princess, on an epic journey to save her people in this heartwarming and visually stunning Disney animated film. (Family animated film)
For the June 24th kick off – arrive early for fun pre-show activations at 6:30 pm– including an “Enter to Win” pair of tickets to Universal Studios provided by Cumulus Broadcasting for opening night of “JAWS” for your chance to see the original Jaws in action at Universal! Plus, a costume contest for Best “Shark” and Best “1975 Jaws Movie Character or Ensemble” to win seafood restaurant gift cards, so come dressed to enter! Shark Lab informative booth will be on site courtesy of Cal State University Long Beach, as well as the one of the actresses from the movie who played “Chrissie,” Susan Backline, a Ventura Harbor resident. Pair this with music from the 70’s and 80’and join in the fun!

For those seeking a date night out, indulge in a refreshing cocktail at one of the many seaside patio bars or a glass of wine at the new Deep Sea Wine Tasting Room, while embracing the summer breezes and stunning waterfront views. Book tickets for an Island Packers Harbor Cruise, prior to the outdoor movies on Saturday, June 24 and Saturday, August 26 at 6 pm, or rent an electric boat or lit up character pedal boat to cruise prior to the movie with Ventura Boat Rentals.
Movie-goers are encouraged to bring blankets, low chairs, and their enthusiasm to support local business at Ventura Harbor Village for a summer night movie fun.
After the movie ends, the night continues with the new After Dark featuring a reverse Happy Hour menu and electric dance club vibe at The Greek Mediterranean Steak & Seafood from 9:30 PM – 1:30 AM.
