The largest full-service boatyard between Long Beach and San Francisco, Ventura Harbor Boatyard has doubled its lifting capacity with a new boatlift that is now operational.
Installed last summer, the brand new 200-metric-ton travel lift replaced an older, 150-metric-ton travel lift; it’s the boatyard’s biggest and strongest lift yet, said Ventura Harbor Boatyard coowner and manager Dale Morris. “Our other boatlift would haul 110 tons,” Morris said. “This one hauls 220 tons, so it literally doubled our capacity for the commercial fishing fleet that we haul. We can now service boats up to 120 feet long and 220 tons.”
A full-service boat repair and maintenance facility with 50 employees, the Ventura Harbor Boatyard offers hull repair, welding, painting and mechanical services for boats from San Diego to Alaska.
